IT Challenge
When Ruan first partnered with Lightedge nearly 10 years ago, the Ruan team’s sole interest for the engagement was disaster recovery services. At the time, their IT production assets were located in a downtown high-rise building lacking redundant cooling and featuring aging technology infrastructure. They were seeking a partner to manage cooling, electricity, security, and other environmental aspects.
Solutions
Ruan chose to move its IT production assets from the downtown location to Lightedge’s purpose-built Altoona colocation data center. The decision came down to a few key factors: local access, physical security, fair pricing, and excellent customer service. Ruan’s migration was successfully completed in 2016 and the relationship has been “rock solid ever since,” said Marty DeDecker, Ruan’s Chief Information Security Officer.
